Midshire’s Nick Rose has been shortlisted for the “Manchester Champion” category of the 2014 Made in Manchester Awards.
The 27 year old, who last year raised over £45,000 for a local children’s hospice Francis House and put Manchester on the map with a new Guinness world record for the Longest Marathon Playing Football, lasting 72 hours, is one of just three finalists drawn from hundreds of entries.
The awards are staged by membership body Pro-Manchester, with MEN Media as media partner, this year’s sponsors are LDA (Brand Sponsor) and Darbys Solicitors (Drinks Reception Sponsor).
The Manchester Champion category is aimed at an outstanding individual who has volunteered in the local community or with a Manchester based charity to help create real improvements for the City of Manchester or its inhabitants.
Midshire were headline sponsors of the inaugural Made in Manchester Awards in 2013, which was a fantastic event, a celebration of emerging talent in a city widely acclaimed as Britain’s best for business.
The Made in Manchester Awards feature 11 categories ranging from “Accountant of the Year” to “Digital, Media or Creative Professional of the Year”. The awards will be presented at a black tie dinner on Thursday 6 February 2014 at The Midland Hotel
This is the second time Nick has been shortlisted for a major business in the space of 6 months, as he was awarded the accolade of highly-commended in the ‘Business Person of the Year’ category at the Stockport Business Awards 2013.
