Technology Revolution for Schools across the NW

Posted on

With the growth of tablet technology in the UK today, more and more people are reading books on kindles and iPads rather than buying paper copies, and school children are beginning to do the same. Midshire Business Systems are at the forefront of the change in education technology, helping schools keep pace with the rest of the working population.  Midshire have been introducing iPads and Kindles instead of textbooks and library books, and Netbooks instead of notebooks into schools throughout the North West.

Even the more recent ‘projector technology’ is becoming less favourable; and is being replaced with state of the art touchscreen teaching technology. As a Sharp Centre of Excellence, Midshire are supplying schools with the Sharp Big Pad, the latest in classroom teaching aids, which is readily replacing the projector technology seen in classrooms throughout the UK. The Big Pad is a giant, wall mounted tablet, which enables teaching in any light, and works with the hand rather than the unreliable pens used on the interactive whiteboards.

Midshire are also a supplier of the latest in education technology- the Promethean ActivTable, specifically designed to engage small groups of children in a range of activities that span the entire curriculum. The intuitive and easy-to-use interface enables the creation of tailor made activities for different teaching approaches, ages and abilities. Games such as ‘Racing Car Maths’ and ‘Phonics Monsters’ make Maths and English so engaging and fun, that children will forget that they are actually learning!
