Sharp Photocopiers for Smart Works Charity
Leading office technology provider Midshire® has donated a Sharp multifunction printer to women’s employment charity Smart Works Greater Manchester.
Smart Works Greater Manchester is a charity that provides interview attire, styling advice and interview training to women throughout the North West.
At the core of their service is a two-hour appointment, during which time each woman receives an outfit complete with accessories, and dedicated one-to-one interview coaching.
The charity’s service is given by a team of over 30 experienced volunteers, and their high-quality stock is donated from other women in work or from retailers.
Since Smart Works Greater Manchester first launched in June 2015, they have seen 653 women in preparation for interview, and out of the women contacted, a remarkable 69% went on to achieve employment.
As a fierce supporter of charities of all kinds, Midshire donated an MX-C311 full colour printer, capable of high-volume print, copy, and scanning. Packed into a space-saving design, the device was chosen as the perfect fit for the small charity.
Head of Regional Development at Smart Works, Laura Dalby says: “As a charity, we are completely reliant on donations, Midshire have not only provided necessary Sharp photocopiers, but also do regular drop-offs of interview attire for the women we help. We are incredibly grateful for their support”.
She continues: “When a Smart Works client gets a job, we want them to start their new role with a full working wardrobe, so clients come back and see us for more clothing to see them through to their first pay cheque”.
Midshire also provides Smart Works with a full Managed Print Service, including: sharp photocopiers installation and training, engineering, toner and inks, and proactive maintenance.
Smart Works was rewarded for its service in 2017, winning in the Social Care, Advice, and Support category at the Charity Awards held at the Tower of London.
