Managed Print Services Case Studies – St Cyres High School
Midshire recently completed its first of many managed print services case studies with St Cyres High School in Penarth, South Glamorgan.
The video details the products and managed print service Midshire has implemented for the school and how these have significantly helped their workflows and overall cost efficiency.
Working with MPS partner Lexmark UK, the video was shot at the school in Penarth and focusses on the managed print solutions and service supplied by Midshire. A happy customer for over a year, St Cyres were pleased to take part in Midshire’s first case study. Midshire works with customers individually to assess their print needs to create a bespoke solution.
St Cyres approached Midshire to look at improving their current set-up. A number of multifunctional devices were chosen based on their output capabilities, with larger devices based in centralised areas and the reprographics room. The school also has nine Lexmark desktop devices placed in different departments of the school for in class use.
Ian Stark, ICT Manager at St Cyres confirmed the support the school receives, ‘If we have any issues with the printers we can easily call and we have an engineer out on the same day or support over the telephone.’
All filming was completed in one day. The video demonstrates the solutions in use, and the swipe card functionality, which all staff and pupils use to release print jobs.
Emyr Lewis, Midshire Cymru Account Manager said:
‘I am delighted that we have been able to create a video with St Cyres. Print solutions are a key part of a school’s day-to-day requirement, and the bespoke managed print solution Midshire has created works very well for St Cyres.’
This is set to be the first in a series of managed print services case studies that Midshire aims to complete within the next 18 months. Every case study will be different and will show the range of customers and environments which Midshire has supported with managed print services.
The video can be viewed on the Midshire website and on the Midshire You Tube channel.
