Final Total in for Midshire’s Macmillan Coffee Morning
Midshire recently held a very successful coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Macmillan coffee mornings have become very popular over the last twenty years, raising over £138 million so far. All money raised goes to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that supports those affected by cancer. Macmillan helps at every stage of the process, from those just diagnosed all the way through to treatment and beyond.
This year the Midshire Midlands office decided to join in with the event. Organised by Customer Service Manager Joanne Palmer and Billie-Jo Adams, a superhero theme was chosen. Staff from across the business took the opportunity to dress up for the day all in aid of raising money for a worthwhile cause.
As well as the usual selection of cakes, there was a huge raffle, with prizes being donated from Midshire staff and business partners. Over sixty prizes were donated to the draw, including: £100 House of Fraser vouchers, £100 Love 2 Shop vouchers, an iPod shuffle, champagne, a photo shoot, perfume and lots more.
The event was a huge success, and a final count up revealed that Midshire raised £1,205.19 for Macmillan.
