#BusinessOfTheWeek: Stockport School
This week our #BusinessOfTheWeek is Stockport School.
The secondary school is based at Mile End Lane in Stockport. It was first opened in 1888, before moving to its current site in 1938. Currently over 1,100 pupils attend the school that was rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in their November 2013 inspection.
The Latin moto of the school, ‘Velis et Remis’ translates to ‘with Sails and Oars’, which describes going all out to accomplish a task. This is something head teacher, Mr Irwin believes is still evident in the school culture today.
Midshire has worked with Stockport school for 15 years, and during this time has supplied them with a number of products, including: Sharp multi-functional printers, finishing equipment and a RISO.
Midshire Sales Manager, Nick Rose is the account manager for Stockport School. He comments,
“Stockport School were one of our very first customers, and we’re immensely proud of the continued relationship. As a former student of Stockport School it’s always a pleasure to go back in to a place that holds such fond memories, in such a different capacity. We look forward to working with Stockport School for many years to come.”
