Entertainment evenings set to raise funds for charity
There are two charity events which Midshire employees will be attending over the coming weekend.
The first event is being held on Friday 4th July 2014 in aid of The Beechwood Centre and the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity. A number of the ladies from the Midshire team will be supporting the event by attending the evening’s entertainment.
The Ladies Night is being held in support of two charities. The Beechwood Centre offers support to cancer patients and those with life limiting illnesses. The Centre also supports the relatives and carers of those who are ill.
The programmes help the person affected at different stages of the journey with cancer. All programmes include:
• Counselling and talking
• Complementary therapies
• Discussion groups
• Relaxation techniques
The Rainbow Trust supports families with children affected by life threatening or terminal illness. They provide Family Support Workers who are able to join the family in their own home, and can provide practical support where necessary. The charity was founded in 1986, and has since supported about 15,000 families all over England.
A further event is also occurring this weekend. FACT (Families of Autistic Children Together), are holding their annual Summer Gala at The Village Hotel, Ashton Moss. The special night will include a 3- course meal, entertainment and a live band. There will also be a raffle, auction and prizes.
The Tameside based charity organises events locally, allowing autistic children and their siblings to play together, in a safe environment. The charity also supports families with professionals such as speech therapists and occupational therapists.
Midshire Field Service Engineer, Daniel Linaker will be attending the event, and will also be taking part in the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride on Saturday 12th July. You can sponsor the challenge by donating to his Just Giving page.
Midshire has produced a banner and pull-up banner for the occasion.
Both nights are set to be hugely entertaining, and will hopefully raise a considerable sum for all charities.
