Schools take the Tablet
Google and the British Retail Consortium reported that search volumes on tablet devices outpaced those on any other device. In fact, in the first quarter of 2013, tablet useage increased by 198% compared with growth on Smartphone devices of 66%.*
The trend toward tablet devices is being mirrored in forward-thinking schools, according to Stockport-based national business systems company Midshire. The latest touchscreen technology, including the iPad’s big brother, the Big Pad, designed for anything from the classroom to a conference, are growing in favour with schools keen to keep learning interactive and compelling.
These commercial-scale tablet devices are winning on intuitive touchscreen technology that combines a large LCD monitor with internet connectivity, PC, laptop and MFP printer connectivity. To keep lessons alive and capture progress as the thinking in the classroom evolves, teachers and pupils can make notes on screen as the session progresses. Afterwards teachers can simply print off the annotated document as a PDF, save, or email it to others.
Midshire is hosting a series of free demonstrations to explore scaled-up tablet technology for next-generation classrooms.
