Midshire Makes Tails Wag with New Technology

Local office technology sales and service provider Midshire® has donated a machine to Joey’s Legacy Boxer Rescue in a show of support for their important charity work.
Entirely run by dedicated volunteers, the organisation was founded in 2009, rehoming over 800 boxer dogs, bulldogs, pugs and mastiffs.
The work done by the charity not only removes stray dogs from UK streets, but also provides loving and devoted pets to dog lovers nationwide. The volunteers carry out home checks, transport, and fundraising events all over the country.
As an organisation that receives no government funding, Joey’s Legacy is heavily reliant on donations. Midshire has provided the charity with a Lexmark XS748DE device that can help them with all of their print needs. The machine is reliable, durable with a high capacity, and even has an eco-mode that can help the organisation stretch every donation further by reducing print quality when it is not needed.
Founder and Chair of Joey’s Legacy Boxer Rescue, Nicky Heeley comments: “Every dog we re-home has its own folder of paperwork, from relinquishment forms and assessment forms, to vet records, we also post out a lot of adoption contracts, which amounts to a lot of printing.
“The Lexmark machine that Midshire have given us will allow us to actually save on our ink and paper spend, as we now have scanning to email capability which is very helpful when every penny counts.
“We also do a lot of promoting for our dogs at fundraising events, so the new machine will help massively in being able to print our own posters and flyers, whereas we previously outsourced this service.”
Midshire pledges to help charities of all kinds, recently teaming up with local solicitors’ firm Russell & Russell to raise £1,500 for the Bolton Hospice and Christie NHS Foundation Trust charities.
The Joey’s Legacy Boxer Rescue aims to own their own premises and treble how many dogs it can care for within the next three years. This will be dependent on donations.
