Midshire named finalist in two categories at the North West Business Masters
Full service office technology provider Midshire is delighted to announce it has been named as a contender in two categories at this year’s North West Business Masters.
Now in its 5th year, the North West Business Masters, organised by leading news provider, The Business Desk has seen another record year for entries. Celebrating excellence in enterprise and entrepreneurship, the awards recognise and celebrate some of the best companies and individuals in the region.
Midshire Managing Director, Julian Stafford has been shortlisted as one of only three candidates for the accolade of North West Ambassador.
This is a special award created by the judges to recognise outstanding leadership, vision and commitment to business over a sustained period. Judges are looking for someone who has gone ‘beyond the call of duty’ to support the region.
Previous winners include Lord Haskins, former chairman of Northern Foods, Fred Done, billionaire businessman and co-owner of bookmaking chain BetFred and chief executive of The Co-Operative Group, Peter Marks.
Already a double award winner, Julian was crowned Stockport Business Person of the Year and Technology Entrepreneur of the Year last year, following unprecedented growth and success for the Stockport based company.
Julian comments: “In December, I reflected on the previous twelve months and I couldn’t believe how much we had achieved and grown as a company, receiving the two awards was just the icing on the cake! To start the New Year being nominated as North West Ambassador is unbelievable, I’m incredibly flattered to be mentioned in the same breath as the previous winners of this prestigious accolade. We are really looking forward to attending the ceremony in March.”
Midshire has also been shortlisted in the Pride/CSR category for its work in the community and charitable fundraising. This award rewards commitment to a philanthropic initiative or initiatives by a North West business or individual, either through CSR policies or wider charitable work.
Julian and Midshire’s drive and passion for providing cutting edge office technology solutions for businesses across the North West, as well as working hard to support the local community through sponsorship, charitable fundraising and technology support, has seen the company raise over £150,000 for local charities in the past two years alone.
As well as this, the company broke a Guinness World record in 2013 for the longest marathon football match and has committed to countless sponsorship agreements and initiatives to support local sporting teams and community projects.
Winners will be announced in front of over 500 people at a glittering awards ceremony on Thursday 10th of March at the Midland Hotel Manchester.
