Midshire MD Shortlisted for two Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

Industry-leading office technology provider, Midshire is delighted to announce two further short-listings for Managing Director, Julian Stafford at this year’s North West EN Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.

Organised by Excel Publishing and now in its 14th year, the North West EN Entrepreneur of the Year Awards are regarded as one of the region’s top accolades for owner-managed businesses.
Julian has been nominated as ‘North West Entrepreneur of the Year’, and ‘Technology Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the 2015 shortlist, in addition to his recent nomination for ‘Business Person of the Year’ at the Stockport Business Awards.
Julian set up Midshire Business Systems Northern back in 1997 with just three staff and today employs over 65 staff across three office locations: Stockport, Sheffield and Pontyclun.
Originally just a photocopier sales and service provider, Midshire has expanded its product portfolio to now supply IT support and telecommunication solutions; enabling them to provide a full-service office technology offering to its customers across the UK. This year the company is anticipating a turnover of over 8 million pounds.
As well as driving Midshire’s success, Julian works hard to support the local community through sponsorship, charitable fundraising and technology support.
Managing Director Julian Stafford, comments: “I would never have dreamed of ever being nominated for an award when I started Midshire almost 20 years ago, so to be shortlisted for two North West Entrepreneur of the Year awards is an amazing honour. I’ve seen Midshire grow and develop substantially over the years, and it’s not something that I could ever have achieved on my own, it’s all down to the fantastic team I have around me. The winners will be announced at a glittering awards evening, hosted by Lord Sugar’s former right-hand man and host of Countdown Nick Hewer, at The Mere Golf Resort & Spa on Wednesday 21st October.
