What do Managed Print Services Companies Provide?
There are a number of managed print services companies throughout the UK, but how do you know what to look for when searching for your new Managed Print Service (MPS) provider? We’ve been supplying these services for over a quarter of a century now and have a wealth of experience in print solutions for business. Here is our check list of what to look out for when looking for a new managed print provider.
Knowledge
Experience is vital for any company. When looking for a new print management company, you should expect them to have a long-term, proven track record in providing Managed Print Services. Midshire has steadily grown organically to now employ a team of over 250 highly skilled experts in all areas of Managed Print Services, who are able to design, recommend, implement and continually improve your MPS service.
We aim to maximise your photocopier uptime and boast a 92% success rate for first time fixes. With a target of just 4 hours for an on-site response, Midshire helps to keep your business up and running, with minimum disruption.
Locations
It is important that your provider is relatively close to your business, or your engineer at least. Midshire has 4 offices throughout the UK in Birmingham, Stockport (Greater Manchester), Sheffield and Cardiff, and a growing team of 75 service support staff who are able to get to each of our customers as fast as possible in times of emergencies.
Portfolio of quality products and services
Midshire partners with the best printer and photocopier brands in the industry, giving us access to a variety of equipment to meet every business needs. Our partners include: Ricoh, Sharp, Lexmark, RISO, HP and Toshiba. Additionally, Midshire’s engineers are trained by manufacturers so we don’t have to rely on 3rd party engineers, all our staff are fully-employed by Midshire.
Transparency of managed print services companies
You need to make sure you read your contract thoroughly to ensure that you receive exactly what you believe you are paying for. Midshire service includes: your printers and photocopiers, engineer visits, preventative maintenance, parts including toner and automatic meter readings.
Midshire offers all customers a ‘try before you buy’ service, so they can road-test their new printer in its environment for a number of weeks before they commit to signing up for a contract. We understand that purchasing a new photocopier is a large investment, so it’s important that the device is the right fit before making a decision.
Recycling Services
Toner and ink cartridges should not be disposed of in the normal waste streams. Some Managed Print Services companies will offer a toner recycling service, so that all cartridges are disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. Midshire’s toner recycling scheme provides a toner recycling box for you to put all toners, inks and consumable parts into when used and once full the box is collected and disposed of in line with Government guidelines.
